The priest of Sri Subrahmanya temple who is looking after the land area  near to the present temple accidentally found the pitch black Snake like stone , when he took the stone to his home, it attracted nagas towards the stone, Later revealed the ancient Anantheswara temple once existed , sanctified by lord Parasurama.

Devine Gurus Presence are experienced by many devottees by the smell of Sandal wood kalabha near the the sacred grove of Sri Anantheswara temple.

Adisesha had incarnated as Lakshmana and he was born as Balarama Later incarnated as Ramanujacharya(1017 -1137)

Lord Hanuman Is Vayu Putra and he later vayu incarnated as Madhavacharya. Madhavacharya established Krishna Mutt at Udupi

Madhavacharya have given nunmber of Lectures on Dvaita Vendanta at Anantheswara temple udupi
